Ocho Rios does not actually have rivers. The Spanish named it for all its waterfalls but somehow that became lost in the English translation. Midway along the north coast, the city sets with lush gardens and plantations to roam. Restaurants abound, an art gallery sports many "happenings", local craft marts and shops are visible everywhere. Hotels and rental villas fit a wide range of budgets and lifestyles. Deep-sea fish, windsurf, sail, snorkel and scuba... and golf is just outside of town.
